'Spell With A Shell' and 'A Hymn For James' were written by Tim Smith of Cardiacs.

'Spell With A Shell' is from Cardiacs 1999 album 'Guns'.
'Hymn For James' was written on a bit of paper in about 1997.

We did this version of 'Spell With A Shell' for the tribute album 'The Leader Of The Starry Skies' in 2010 which was to help raise funds for Tim. There's a video of it here:

We found a rough instrumental version from these sessions and thought it would be nice to include if you'd like to try singing along.

We are very proud to present these here for you now, with all proceeds going to Tim's chosen charity.
